Hi! I’m Damon DiMarco.

I published my first book just over twenty years ago. Soon after that, I began getting calls from agents and publishers to collaborate with other authors on their books. I did this while writing more books under my own name. To date, my books have been featured by The New York Times, NPR, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, Publisher’s Weekly, and National Geographic.

A few years later, I began to ghostwrite for some truly gifted CEOs, thought and political leaders, business visionaries, and celebrities.

As a story consultant I helped Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, and OBIE Award winners tell the best tales they're capable of producing.

Which brings me to you.

What I love most about working with other writers is learning about your book’s vision and strategizing with you on the story structure and language that not only nails your theme but makes the reader’s ride unforgettable!

Whatever tone you wish to take, whatever you want your readers to think, feel, or do … I’ll partner in your success.

Books that bear my name have been hailed by The New York Times, MSNBC, CNN, FOX News, National Geographic Channel, NPR/PBS, Premiere Networks, Publishers Weekly, and Library Journal. They've also won praise from thought leaders such as William F. Buckley and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, politicians such as Gov. Tom Kean, Chairman of the 9/11 Commission and Gov. George Pataki, Pulitzer Prize winners David Mamet and Stephen Adly Guirgis, Academy Award-winning actors Sam Rockwell, Olympia Dukakis, and Mary Steenburgen, Emmy Award-winners Patricia Heaton and Christine Lahti, plus SAG Award-winners Richard Schiff and Gretchen Mol.

My oral history work has been compared to that of Studs Terkel and the WPA Slave Narratives. I also writes plays, screenplays, and novels while ghostwriting for top names in a variety of different genres including non-fiction, science fiction, epic fantasy, and crime.

I founded, created, and led the Writing for Public Intellectuals workshop for PhD students in the History & Culture Program at Drew University’s Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. Each semester I guided up to twelve PhD candidates toward synthesizing their expertise into clear, compelling language that anyone could digest and appreciate in op-eds for such publications as The New York Times, USA Today, and U.S. News & World Report.

As a founding member of New River Dramatists, I’ve helped National Book Award, Pulitzer Prize, and OBIE Award winners write the best stories they're capable of producing.

When time allows, I’m the creator and host of @TheWriteStuffPro-DamonDiMarco on YouTube.
